About Me

My name is Vibeke Hiatt–wife, mother, writer. For as long as I can remember, my imagination has been full of stories that need to be told. In 2003, I graduated from Utah Valley University with a bachelor’s degree in English. I have worked as a phone book editor and a data analyst. Problem-solving has always been one of my passions. This is probably why I’m so attracted to storytelling–discovering how plots eventually work out.

Aside from writing, I also love reading, traveling, developing visual art skills, crocheting, and (oddly enough) basketball. I’m married to Brett, and we have four children: Wolfie (short for Wolfgang Amadeus), Brunhilda, Holger, and Knudsine. (These are our children’s online nicknames, to protect their privacy.)

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Some of my posts will focus on my faith, some will focus on personal musings, and some will be practices in creative writing. Like everyone else, I’m a multi-faceted person and this blog will reflect that. I hope you enjoy everything you read here.

Any religious views expressed in this blog are my responsibility and do not necessarily reflect the position of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
